Our music tone her will he elect-

of the senool us soon as a suffi-
cient number o f uipltciitiojis
have been received
Communications have been
received from six of the seven
teachers now employed with
the avowed intention fiom each
to make next year the best in
the history 'of the school Many
similar expressions have been
made by parents and pupils so
much that we are encouraged
by the educational outlook of
our town
Our people are not the most
illiterate b y any means but
coming in contact with people
from the four ends of the earth
has taght us that if we dp not
educate tho children here to
yeeupy the many positions that
are being opened they will be
tilled by the billowing tide and
our children pushed aside We
no longer live in a remote prov-
ince but occupy a position en-
vied by many of our senior
states We are in our youth
the time for rapid advancement
of a nation stale or individual
So sure us we fail to grasp our
opportunities we shall become
dwarfs in the educational and
commercial world Let us be-
lieve in our town and her insti-
tutions talk iheui and patronize
them
Bids are being received for
the painting of the school build-
ings We may expect work to
begin on them soon
