Dear Sir:—
Having noticed a letter in your
paper from Hon J T Bruss of
-awton to the Republicans of Co-
manche county urging them to sup-
port Col Theodore Roosevelt’s
nomination for President in Satur-
day’s primaries I thought it would
not bs out of order to state a few
facte In regards to same
Now fellow Republicans in or-
der to nominate Col Roosevelt to
be our President the third time we
would have to refuse President
aft a second term and thereby
turn down his first and only admin
stration as a failure Have we
any predicate for such action on
the part of a Republican conven
on '
Again we would have to turn
own Col Rossevelt himself forpn
the night of November 8 1904
after the returns showed he had
been elected the Col gavs out the
following: ‘ "On the 4th of Maroh
next I shall have served three and
half years and this three and a
half years constitute my first term
The Wise Custom which limits
the President to two terms-regards
the-substance and rot the form
