ARDMORE (AP)—Opera-
tions at American Flyers
Airlines here are being
probed because of suspected
sabotage, Lee O. Teague,
Federal Bureau of Investiga-
tion Agent in charge of Okla-
homa, confirmed Friday.
The company, which fre-
quently transports military
personnel from Fort Sill. has
not lost any planes, Teague
said, "but they’ve been hav-
ing engine trouble in flight.
We don’t know if someone is
intentionally damaging the
engines or not, but we re
trying to find out."
"We have agents at Ard-
more checking it out,” he
added. "If we are able tn
prove the engines are delib-
erately being damaged, then
we will present our evidence
to the proper federal author-
ities for possible prosecu-
tion."
