The Oil World tod Its Ways
By N. J. BRYAN.
An interesting and instruct-
ive narative of his trip around
the world. Told in Mr. Bry-
an's original and peculiar way.
L. J. HENRY, Agent,
Claremore, - Ind. Ter.
One good Domination made by
ibe Republicans of Rogers County
was the selection of John L Denbo,
of Catoosa, for Representative.
Mr. Denbo is "oneo! us," being a
citizen of the Cherokee Nation, and
bas resided in what is now Rogers
County for twenty-ffve years, and
is closely identified with the people
and has a common interest with
them.
He has had four years experience
as a legislator, having represented
Cooweescoowee District in the Na-
tional Council and always looked
after the interests of the people.
All classes of citizens can depend
on Denbo as a safe man to repre-
sent them, knowing our people and
conditions as he does, be is better
qualified to protect their interests
than any man who has only been
here for a short time and bas no
interests in the country.
Rip Van Winkle awoke from his
long slumber Coming down the
mountain he asked a merry villa-
ger what season of the year it was.
"Guess," said the villager.
"Well, I know it is just before
an election."
"And bow do you know that,
old man!"
"Because the politicians are slap-
ping people on the shoulder. They
never do that after election."
And a few minutes later the ward ■
boss ran Rip out of town because j
he was so wise —Chicago News.
A state arises out of<the needs ot
mankind; no one is selfsuficing,
but all of us have many wants.
Then as we have many wants, and
many persons are needed to supply
them, one takes a helper for one
purpose and one for another; and
when these partners and helpers are
gathered together in one habita-
tion, the body of inhabitants is
termed a state —Plato.
If a man ste dily pursues an hon-
orable, eonsistennt course, people
don't always give him credit; they
arc apt to say that he is bull-head-
ed.
There are enough poorly eooked
meals to prove that lots of women
are stepping right over missions at
home to seek them elsewhere.
"I hate him! He tried to kiss
met" "But I tried to kiss yon and
yon do sot hate me?" "I knew,
bat yon succeeded."

You are reading this one. That should convince yon
that advertising in these columns is a profitable proposi-
tion ; that it will bring business to your store. The fact
that the other fellow advertises is probably the reason he
is getting mere business than is tailing to you. Would it
not be well to give the other fellow a chance
