Many Logical Reasons Why E. L
Fulton Should Be Elected.
Mr. Fer. is orrived at 8:15 on
the east-bound train, Wednesday
evening and was escorted to the
court roofij by number of admir-
ing friends. The room was
crowded to the limit ar.d -it was
with difficult that he was enabled
to reach the front of the building,
where he bepan immediately his
masterly address. He held the
undivided attention of his aud-
ience, in spite of the crowded
condition of the room, for nearly
two hours. The address was free
from personalities, and was one
the best ever delivered in this
oity.
Mr. Ferris is a progressive dem-
ocrat and has been a consistent
worker in Congress for the inter-
ests of his people, and against
special interest legislation. He
ha9 made good, and his constit-
uents ape to be congratulated.
He was heren in the interest of
E. L. [Fulton for Congress and
advanced many logical reasons
why Mr. Fulton should be eleot-
ed, that carried conviction to his
hearers. He convinced ever-
one that a vote against him was
yote against good government,
and a vote sor Joe Cannon.
His address was in strong con-
trast with the feeble, appolegetic
effor' of Morgan Tuesday night.
He 8poke at length on Morgan's
congressional reoord, comparing
it With Mr. Pulton's recofd, and
showing how Morgan had voted
against measures when they had
a chance to pass, and for them
when they had no chance. Any
time Uncle he neeetiled his vute.
it was always forth-coming.

"Standpat Dick" Morgan was
here last week and in a wander-
ing listless sort of a way attempt-
ed to ju9tifv his course in Con-
gress, which wa9 diametrically
opposed to the interests of the
people of this district and not in
accord with their ideas of the
square deal. He was successful
only in driving the large part of
his small audience from the court
room, and like a hyptonist, put
the remainder to sleep. He con *
vinced those who heard him that
he had been about as useful in
Congress a9 an Indian cigar
iign and not nearly so orna-
mental.
His attempt at justifying his
congressional record, sounded
much like Joe Cannon's Kansas
stanpat speeches, and was nbout
as effective. One oould, with-
out a very great stretch of the
imagination, almost see Uncle
Joe pulling the string that made
the halting words audible above
snoring of the audience.
'"8tandpat" is as great a fail-
ure as a political speaker as he is
as a congressman. He might do
right well as a dencon in a primi-
tive church away back in .the
"sticks," but as a congressman
he's a weak sister.
The people of this district are
not olamoring frantically V. have
"Standpat" sent back to Con
gress for Uncle Joe to make i
monkey of. If Unole Joe must
have such blind support, they
prefer that it should come from
some other district. They want
a man with stamina enough to
stand out for a square deal and
oast an intelligent vote against
all special interest legislation.
E. L. Fulton has boldly stated
his unalterable position on ques-
tions of vital importance to every.
Voter io this Pdisirict, and i^ey)
believe it would be a public cal-
amity to fail to send him back to
Congress. The people want a
square deal. They have had
enough of Cannon's tyranny and
his playing into the hands of that
famous bunch of pirates who in-
fest a little nasty hole in New
York, known as Wall street.
It is estimated that Fulton's
majority will be from 1000 to
3000.

As one weak link weakens a

the whole body and hasten the
final breaking down.
Overwork, strains, colds and
other causes injure the kidneys,
