Miss Julia Tomllneon announced that
.be had been married to Lewie Stew-
art since the 26th of February and
was going to leave that night tor Col-
orado to Join her husband.
The couple waa married Mangum
on the above date and as Mr. Stew-
art wanted to go on out to Colorado
where he had a claim that he wanted
to make Improvement, on and as
Miss Julia wanted to conUjme te*A-
lng they decided to keep the wedding
secret, in which they were very
succeaaful. Only a very few of Miss
Julia's most Intimate friends knew of
the marriage, Not even the parents of
the groom knew of It
Miss JuUa has been teaching in the
public school here for the last two
terms and was liked by everybody,
aa ahe was an accomplished young
lady and a good teacher.
L^wis is the youngest son of Mr.
and Mrs. W. B. Stewart and is an am-
bitious young man. He left for Color-
ado a day or so after his marriage and
has been busy 'fixing up his place.
We wish the young couple a long
and happy life even though we didn't
get to publish a write up of their mar-
riage in time for it to be "news. e

la the patriotic aeavice undertaken by
the englneera and cbemleta of thla
country under the direction of the In-
dustrial preparedness commission of
the naval consulting board of tha
United Statee.
The confidential Industrial
tory you are asked to suply la Intend-
ed tor the exclusive benefit of tho
war and navy depertmenta, and will
be used In organising the induetrial
resources for the public service In na-
tional defense.
If any manufacturer decllnee to
make a report or to answer any Ques-
tions the field aide is requested to
state hie reason and complete the re-
port from otuslde sources a* far aa
possible, stating explicitly that the In-
formation la so obtained.
Among other information the aides
are directed to ascertain the value and
areas of the manfacutrers' plant, horse
power, materials used, products made
and shipping facilities.
