PROF HARRY 3 SCOTT DEAD
Prof Harry S Scott superinten-
dent of the Mooreland public echools
died Saturday ia the hoapltal at
Woodward where he waa taken
bout a week before when suffering
with pneumonia
Prof Scott wai one of the moat
beloved instructors ever employed
la the local echools and every
etudent of the Institution is a sin-
cere mourner

Cantigny and for three year
etudent at Fatvmount College died
yesterday at Woodwsrd Oklahoma
During the war Scott was gassed
twice It la believed that hia hav-
ing been gassed was a contributory
eause of death He was suffering
from touellitleand later pneumonia
developed in the portions of hie
lunga where he had - been gassad
Scott was a sophomore at Fair-
mount when the war broke out
He waa exempt from service because
he was under age but he waa one
of the first to enlist entering the
marine corps He was the first
Falrmount student to go over the
top In France and was gassed in the
first engagement in which he par-
ticipated Later he wee gasset
again He recovered from both
attacks and served thru the war
He waa decorated for bravery
At the end of the war he returnet
to college where he helped organise
the Gold Chevron Club
Last June he was married to Mias
Beulah Kiatler a Falrmount gnu
uate
Scott formerally lived at Udal
where hid father was pestqr of the
Congregational Church
While at Falrmount he made al
his own expenses Part of the
time he carried the Beacon in the
North End '
Funeral services will be at 3 pm
Tuesday at the Falrmount Con
greational Church Rev Clayton
B Wells pastor of the church an
President Walter H Rollins of
Falrmount College will have charge
of the services
Students of the college and mem
bers of the American Legion
probably will assist in the sarvices
