Mrs Wilbur Watson was hostess
to the H E O Club in her home
last Wednesday with all of the
members present with the excep-
tion of Mrs Daisy McCaslin who
was ill The day was spent quilting
and embroidering for the hostess
A covered dish luncheon was
served at noon Those present were

hospital Monday following a fall on
the ice last Thursday morning His
left arm was broken just above the
elbow He is staying temporarily
with the G O Williams
Mrs Floyd Bergner took several
numbers to the 4-H Share-the-Fun
Contest at Woodward Monday
night A number by Carol High
Anita Gaston Rebecca Mead and
Sue Story placed second in the
novely division
The Junior class under the direc-
tion of Bob Gudka have started
working on their play "The Camp-
bells are Coming” which will be
George thought it was the Swift
ice cream truck that he heard
coming toward his house and when
he could see for sure that it was
he hurried to the drug store and
was standing expectantly in front
when the truck stopped The driver
without further ado opened his
truck to get the pint of ice cream
George was waiting for Some-

mongrel with the deep bass voice
picked up his ice cream habit when
his family the Dale Mead’s ran
the drug store
The Mothers Club is making
plans for a basketball game and
cakewalk to raise money needed
to buy robes for the glee club The
basketball players will be recruited
from the Mothers Club Watch for
the date

The junior high girls won the
game with Laverne in a basket
ball tournament at May on Mon-
day Tuesday the highschool teams
played at Richmond where the
girls lost and boys won
Mr and Mrs Tom Brawner had
as their week-end guests Mr and
Mrs Melvin Phillips of Wichita
Other guests on Sunday were Mr
and Mrs Earl Brawner and family
and Mr and Mrs Cliff Phillips
and Donna
Mrs Floyd Bergner was out
of school Monday because of ill-
ness Mr and Mrs Elvin Lawson and
family were called to Corpus Chris-
ti Tex Wednesday by the death

Wednesday to visit their new
grandson and incidentally his par-
ents Mr and Mrs Dale Lively
Mrs Baker remained and returned
with Mr and Mrs Walter Lively
who went down on Saturday

Members of the American Le-
gion auxiliary served lunch to the
270 persons attending the meeting

afternoon in the Ft Supply audi-
torium The program was present-
ed by Mrs Olive Latta’s room
consisting of the 4th and 5th
grades Rev Gerald Main gave
the introductory message The
novelty shows consisted of one-
act plays “The House of Months”
“Teeny-Weeny Snow Man” - and
“Timothy Till and the old Black
Crow” A duet “The Puffin Song”
was sung by Jimmy Harlan and
Gaylyn Teeters A piano solo was
played by Janice Pratt Everyone
enjoyed the program very much

were shopping in Woodward last
Friday
Mrs T S Hayes is confined to
her bed suffering from a severe
case of high blood pressure Her
daughter Mrs Litner from Win-

Pueblo Colo are visiting in the
home of Mr and Mrs Arthur
Jackson and Gene Mr McHaffey
is a brother of Mrs Jackson

over the week end to attend the
basketball game They visited in

The ladies of the Mt Olive
Olive church served a Pancake
supper at the Ft Supply lunch
room Monday night There was a
nice turnout and ' all enjoyed the
supper very much
Mrs Pearl Hurst is much better
at this writing and was able to
return to her home from Wood-
ward where she had been con-
valescing at the home of her
daughter Mrs Fred Schuyler
Church Notes
Due to a number of regular at-
tendants being out of town last
Sunday there was a noted drop in
Sunday school attendance but we
deeply appreciated the goodly num-
ber that came for church The
minister suggested we make next
Sunday a record breaker by each
of us bringing some one with us
Let’s all make this our goal for
next Sunday
The M Y F’ers held their regu-
lar meeting at 6:15 and this was
their evening for refreshments
They are making their plans for
the district meeting to be held
here at Ft Supply February 21st
The Bible Quiz Sunday night
took in the first 12 chapters of
2nd Chronicles and we take the
second 12 chapters for the next
study The Bible study for Wed-
nesday night gave way for the
annual "Ground Hog” supper
