on the eve of a building boom.
Ocar Jeffers will finish his
two store buildings soon, besides
several others are contemplated.

building on his corner lot oppo-
site the bank. Bert M. Draper

In The Oil Fields
. 34" 1
The Lock wood & Steiner well
in 10 19 16 brought in a few days
ago is making 250 barrels daily.
This extends the field south and
east, and has put other drills in
this section.
Three new rigs have been put
in the field since our last issue
The well in section 2 19 16, be
ing drilled by Avers & Son for
Miller, Mutch and others is due
today. The parties having this
well drilled are from Girard and
Pittsburg, Ks.
Several new wells are due, but
this stormy weather may delay
the shooting a few days.
The Hubbard well drilled in a
few days ago by Lou Bauman in
section 9 19 16 has proven the
best well in the field. It flowed
700 barrels in less than 24 hours
after being shot.
The pipe line and the side track
have been finished and oil is now
being loaded in cars and shipped
The side track and loading rack
is arranged so that 17 cars can
be loaded at once. The produc-
ers are now getting some money
for their output. Things are
looking very bright in the Inola
field.
A Big Oil Deal
The 96 Ballard Oil Company
sold 54 acres of their holdings
in the Inola field Monday to the
Oklahoma Petroleum & Gasoline
Co., of Tulsa, consideration be-
ing $50,000. There are 7 good
producing wells on this lease and
they were put to a thorough test
which proved satisfactory.
The stockholders in this com-
pany are H. B. Gooch, Geo. D.
Davis, J. E. Sanger, Guy, Earle
and Ross Bayless. This com-
pany still has holdings in the
Inola field which are equally as
good as that part which they
sold. We are glad of their good
fortune, and we believe that it
will prove a good investment for
the purchasers.
Mrs. John Draper, of Clare-
more. cams down yesterday for
a visit with her son, Bert M.
Capt. W. L. Harris has leased
I his elevator to Pittmsn, Harrison
A Co., the Claremore elevator
men. Since drifting into the oil
business the captain figured that
he bad too much to look after
is what prompted him to oaks
this lease. These people are
thoroughly familiar with the ele-
vator business and will make a
success of the business.
