What is Man
Indisputably a gieat good hand-
some man is the first of creation
The test of every religious political
or educational system Is the man that
it forms
A man’s ledger does not tell what
he is or what he is worth — whether
rich or poor
What a piece of work is mail! How
noble in reason! How infinite in
faculties! In form and moving how
express and admirable! In action
bow like an angel! In apprehension
how like God
What a chimera is man! what a
subject of contradiction! a professed
judge of all things and yet a feeble
worm of the earth! the great depos-
itary aDd guardian of truth and yet
a mere hubble of uncertainty! the
glory and the scandal of the universe

did not seem to do me any good
I got so bad I could not eat or sleep
and all my friends except one thought I
would die He advised me to t7
