Leroy Neff, known here by
everybody as "Dad" Neff, de-
parted Tuesday for Fostoria,
Ohio, where he was recently
visiting relatives. While there
he found his father whom he
had not seen for forty years and
supposed was dead but proved to
be alive, hearty and spry, al-
though 85 years of age. "Dad"
had a fine visit and decided he
would come back to Canton, close
up his affairs and return to Ohio
to make his home. Dad figures
that he is three years younger
than when he went to Ohio for
the following reason—his father
tells liim that he is only 62 years
old, while Dad was thinking that
he was 65. Dad was a pioneer
in this locality, has helped to
develop the country and raised a
family of children all but two of
whom are now married. Dad
now has only himself to look
after and goes back to his old
boyhood home to cheer his aged
father and live again the days of
his young among old familiar
scenes. Dad is as spry as any of
his boys, can do a good day's
work and eat a hearty meal
without a murmur. The Record's
good wishes for Dad go with
him and we hope he will be fully
satisfied in his new location.
