Surrounded by friends we are lonesome
In the midst of pleasure we are blue
With smiles on our faces and broken
hearts
We are lonesome for you
The flowers we lay on your graves
May wither and decay
But the love we have for you dear
parents
Shall never fade away
When the evening shade are falling
And we are sitting alone
In our hearts there comes a longing
It you could only come home
The years may wipe out many things
But this they'll wipe out never
The memory of those happy days
Which we have spent together
For all you did tor us
You did your best
God grant you
Eternal rest

Planting Season from May 10th to June 1st
It is as easy and cheaply grown as any crop More dependable on ac-
count of the fact there is no boll weevil in this section of the country and
being a sun plant will stand the hot weather better than other crops
When you grow cotton you are also producing feed at the rate of 900
pounds of seed per bale of 500 lbs lent Cotton seed cake and meal are
among the very best feeds for livestock Many thousands of dollars could
be saved the farmers each year by buying this feed at home Remember
your seed can be exchanged for cake or meal at the cotton gin
Cotton on a basis of the present prices of staple crop is one of the most
profitable things the farmers can raise in Ellis County
Many fanners are going to plant cotton along with the other crops
this year We would be glad to talk the proposition over with anyone in-
terested Our services are at your command and those who have not had
the experience of growing cotton we will give any information that will
enable them to properly plant and cultivate this crop
Cotton should be planted in this country from about the 10th day of
May to June 1st We have ample supply of certified and other tested
planting seed ranging in price from $100 to $150 per bushel which is the
wholesale price to you One-half a bushel of cotton seed will plant an acre
