ciation assembled believing in educa-
tion and the general diffusion of
knowledge and in American boys and
pirls and their proper training in cit-
izenship therefore be- it Resolved
That we express our appreciation of
the work of County Superintendent
II M Seism in placing the schools of
this county on u higher plune of effi-
ciency and llmt we pledge to him our
united and hearty co-operation in all
measures he muv inaugurate for the
betterment of the schools of this
county
Tliut we indorse the organization of
the O E A and the work of the sec-
retary in his earnest efforts to build
up a large membership and to put the
association on a permanent and pro-
' gressive basis
That the superintendents and teach-
ers nto-operate with the American Le-
gion in all patriotic programs and ac-
tivities Americanization can be
taught effciently only in the public
schools and teachers ran accomplish
this by wise use of morning exer-
cises and intelligent study of leading
Americans and national holidays
That we express ourselves as being
heartily in favor of the establishment
of a public-school nursing department
in the stute of Oklahoma which shall
work in the interest of the health of
our school children We firmly be-
lieve that such will he a paramount
step in our progress
That teachers talk state aid for
weak districts and consolidated schools
at every opportunity One way of
accomplishing results along this line
is at the polls another way is through
the press and to use all proper means
to further state aid ' These schools
are sadly in need of assistance and
organized effort can help them
That we use University and A & M
College extension and county agents
in comunity programs and demonstra-
tions The county agents and college
extension experts are glad lo help by
demonstrations and lectures They
will come to country districts and even
to homes to assist Teachers are urg-
ed to make use of these educational
sources to increase their usefulness in
school and community
That we enter whole-heartedly into
the Americanization of America by
upholding American institutions and
ideas The time has come that we
must Amercanize America or it will
be Europeanized America is for
Americans and its institutions and
ideals should be American
That we extend a vote of thanks
to the board of education of Anadarko
for the use of the school building and
to the Methodist church for the use of
their fine building for our meetings
to the ctizens of Anadarko for their
hospitality and hearty interest and co-
operation in our work to Mrs Pope-
joy and her excellent corps of musi-
cians who have entertained us so
well to Miss Starkweather for her
interesting and well-rendered read-
ings to the various speakers who
have directed our minds into new and
profitable fields of thought and to the
officers and committees of the Caddo

have done so much to make this meet-
