delivered by Rev Robinson Sunday In
the morning service be talked from
the test "Men ought always to pray
and not to faint" He said In part:
Men are prone to say "what's the use
to keep on since we accomplish so lit-
tle" He encouraged every one to
keep on as success will come at last
and Illustrated by telling the parable
of the unjust Judge and the persistent
woman who finally accomplished her
pu-pose In conclusion he made a per-
sons! appeal to every one by asking
Ihe question "Will He find faith In
our lives when He comes?" The ser-
mon was followed by a beautiful and
Impressive communion service
In the evening Rev Robinson dis-
cussed Cod's credit system The great-
est transaction that ever took place
was that between God and Abraham
“Abraham believed and It was placed
to his credit as righteousness” As a
reward God promised Abraham that
bis seed should be as the stars Be-
fore a transaction takes place the par-
ties must have faith in each otljer To
keep that faith each must make good
Special music was rendered by the
choir and nlso by the Bartlett Quartet
Subject for next Sunday morning
sermon "The Source of Wealth” for
the evening sermon “The Contagion
of Character” Both sermons by pastor

Where all the numbers were render-
ed faultlessly it is largely a work
of supererogation to say more We
may be pardoned however for point-
ing to the excellence of Master George
Campbell’s “Unveiling” speech The
address of Comrade Tilton was devot-
ed to an analysis of the characters of
Washington and Lincoln and to their
accomplishments in civil and military
life Rev Agee’s address on Wash-
ington and Lincoln was a clever treat-
ment of the life work of the two states-
men Rev Robinson’s address was de-
voted for the most part to the humor-
ous side of the life of Mr Lincoln
pointing at the same time to the back-
ground of a life that was full of the
pathetic not to say of the melancholy
Rev Methvin’s address was a classic
focusing attention on the lives of
Washington and Lincoln and holding

“Jayhawker’s” statement of the ac-

say to every contributor Don’t let a
shipment of cattle or other live stock
escape your vigilant pen — or pencil!
"Jayhawker” knows how to throw
bouquets and that is a beauty that she
tosses at Geo Nixon Good bridges
and good roads are in a class with
good rains and good farming

Dixon came within a little less than

bargains Also beautiful paper flowers

toward progressiveness and prosperity
