Mrs. Amv A. Jones, associate edi-

..leasant caller at this office today,
'being on her way home from the I. O.
O. F. grand lodge meeting in Lawton,
in which she represented the Rebc-
| kah lodge ot her town. Mrs, Jones is
an intelligent lady and is better In-
formed on Oklahoma affairs than
most people, having been here since
the opening, herself and husband
having started the flr.t piper in Med-
ford, afterward* selling out and mov-
ing to the present location.
Something Doing.
The Chamber of Commerce meet-
ing last night wai well attended and
gave evidence of an aroused public
* pirit that wa* encourag'ng to see.
Several propositions of vital impor-
tance to the city were taken up, dis-
cussed and decisive action taken.
It was by all odds the best meeting
that ba- been held by the Chamber
tor a long time, and if the same spirit
is kept up there Is bound to be some-,
thing doing and no m'.stake.
Now that a good start has been,
made the only thing to do Is to keep
the ball rolling.
