Leon Okla June 9th 1918—
Since Dr Baker moved away health
of our vicinity is good this however
is no reflection on the Doctor but
a kirtd visitation of Providence We
invite some good physician to visit
us and permanently locate here Our
nearest physician now is Burney-
ville 12 miles east
Dr Looney of Burneyville is still
visiting Sum McGowan’s family and
we are sorry to hear that he has but
little hopes for the recovery of their
son Voil This little -fellow has
suffered untold pain and the entire
family have undergone many hard-
ships and have our sympathy Just
here we would ask what is the
Woodmen Lodge of Leon doing to
relieve the distress of this Sovereign
and his family? We are informed
that this lodge attention has been
repeatedly called to this case and as
yet nothing been done as a lodge
Be it said to the credit of the mem-
bership however that some of them
have been very active in assisting
in the crop and will be found there
in the future doing more much
needed work but what about the
lodge?

speak or understand English a num-

solved the problem presented by the
all “English speaking” order recent-

State Council of Defense by holding
religious services in private homes
