A Trip to Carnival
Well we went to the Carnival last
night luviug nothing else to do wo
thought wv- would try and pass a hail
hour somewhere We got there on !
surprised nnd so was everybody else
for everyboiy else was there there was
grandpa and grandma mother and dnd
and the baby There was John aid his
sweetheart and Bill who comes from
Chicago and knjws it all and had seen
everything before his hat tilted on one
side holding his home made cigarette
between his nicotine stained teeth Yes
- they were all there and talk about en-
joying themselves Everybody certain-
ty see me J to do so The bright glare
of hundreJs of electric lights illuminat-
ed the smiling faces of a vast moving
mass of hundreds yes thousands— hap-
py specimens of humanity It remind-
ed us of a Venetian sum ner night festi-
val So we decided to join in the fun
first supp'yingourselves with a generous
supply of Coney Island ta ffy we enter-
ei the Katzenjammer Kastle it was
dark and we were turned around shook
up climbei over mountains fell into
deep vaults was run through the tread-
mill alii down m wing stairways etc
until-we were glad to get out and see
daylight no the electric lights for it
makes the Carnival grounds brighter
than day We were glad to get out
but we will go again and get some of
our friends to go with us just for the
funny feeling you have when you get
out
Then we went into the Airdome
where Lotspha dames Telma poses in
her Magic Album and pictures that are
the funniest
Next we stoppjJ just a few minutes
to see Laly Esther well she is a won-
der she pulled her joints apart until
we thought she would never be able to
get them together again
Hoop la here wj are in Harry Brey’s
dog and pony show and we have seen
trained animals before yes many a
time but never anything like those
acrobatic dogs
We were just in time to see Amaza
that girl who gives but one performance
a night and say ! Don’t you fail to see
it
Then we witnessed Boreanis the wild
girl and Dreamland
A powerful search light illuminated
an 85-foot ladder and we had to hurry
to see dare devil Harry Davy jump
from the top into the rope net
It was getting late but the sweet
strains of musical instruments drew us
in to the old plantation where ten south-
ern darkies reminded us of our trip to
Dixie land two years ago
But it was getting late too late to
see and enjoy all the good things the
Coffree Amusement company offers
but we we are going agsin tonight — 0 -mulgee
