D
Don't try it —
it's too expensive
You CAN see to read by the light of a cigarette
if you puff and puff but it's cheaper to use
a 100-watt bulb you can read in comfort all
evening by the light of a 1 00-watt bulb in vour
pin-it-up lamp for the cost of 1 Vi cigarettes
Good lighting is so cheap today you cannot afford
to risk strained eyes by reading und V -oor light

The local postoffice force asks
us to explain to the public that
they have hot been hiding or try-
ing to play peek a-boo with you
the past week they have been
completely covered up with mail
sacks and Christmas packages
In fact fora day or two they
figured the postmaster had fallen
into a mail sack and had been
accidently shipped out but he
was found later under a pile of
Christmas cards that had been
dumped on the distributing table
No kidding there were a few
days when mail sacks and pack-
ages were stacked almost head
high all over the back office and
the overflow stacked out in the
lobby They have about worked
out to where they can look up
and see you now
