ARE YOU A SUBSCRIBER
This week we are sending out ex-
tra copies of The Reflex to a num-
ber of people in this section who are
not subscribers The expense of this
undertaking is borne by The Reflex
and the Farmers State Bank with a
view of building up the circulation
of The Reflex Strange as it may
seem there are people living in Co-
manche who do not take their home
paper A town can’t do without a
newspaper but how do you figure
that a newspaper is going to exist
when you do not patronize it?
Mr Chelf of the Farmers State
bank is interested in seeing The Re-
flex prosper and wants to gee its sub-
scription list grow and to this end is
helping us bear thq expenses of
Rpnding out' sample copies tiis week
If you are for Comanche and the
southern part of Stephens county
you should show your patriotism by
becoming a reader of The Reflex and
keep yourself informed as to what is
going on and then lend your support
to all worthy undertakings
The Reflex is willing towork for
Comanche and the southern part of
Stephens county in particular but
we need the support of the people if
we are to give the proper punch to
our efforts Candidly the writer
wonld he ashamed to live in a town
and refuse to patronize its only
newspaper Think it over
When we hear a man say he wants
to boost and advertise his town and
when we pick up The Reflex and see
that he doesn’t advertise his own bu-
siness we wonder how sincere he is
in wanting to boost the town If
boosting and advertising is good for
n town why isn’t it good for your
business?
The Reflex doesn’t want your busi-
ness on a charity basis If -your
business is all that your capacity is
able to take care of you possibly do
not need advertising if you care
nothing for your town or community
you possibly are right in not reading
your town newspaper When you do
what is to your best interest we have
no criticism to offer But we refuse
to believe that you are a patriotic
citizen when you refuse to become a
reader of your only paper and we
doubt that you want to see your
town grow and prosper when you
make no effort to improve your own
business ' ‘
Let’s be fair to ourselves and fair
to our town Above all don t geti
the idea that a newspeper doesn’t I
need the support of every loyal man
and woman in the community — the
moral and financial Bupport of every
good citizen When you support The
Reflex you are increasing its ca-
pacity to be a factor in the town’s
upbuilding and when you are not
even a reader of the paper you are
pulling back to just that extent
These are facts that deserve your
earnest consideration Let’s get in
line and all work for the upbuilding
of Comanche and Stephens county
