ject “Reasoning with God”
In spite of bad roads and quite
a bit of sickness the Sundav schoo
showed an increase in attendance
last Sunday Whp isn’t it just as
easy to be ten minutes early as ten
minutes late? And why is it tha
people from the country areahecc
of folks who live in town? We
see that our children are on time
for the cl iy school let’s show as
much respect for the Bible school
Dayid D Leahy writing in the
Beacon of Feb 3 under the head-
ing “The Shillehah” says “This
February will not be a bad month
for the leap year girl It has five
Sunday nights in it But the
preacher will not be so lucky He
will have to get out five sermons
And the church goer will also get
the worst of it Not because he
will have to listen to the five ser-
mons but because he will have tc
face the collection box that main
times” If he will come to Helena
we will show him a church that
gets along ir fine shape and dnesn’i
embarrass church goers by shov-
ing a collection box under their
noses either If we can’t get your
money some other time besides
srvice time on Sundays wre don’t
want it
No matter what you have or
have not done in the past you are
genuinely welcome hcie and we
wiil prove it to you if you will
give us a chance
A special program for the fifth
Sunday is being prepared as we
can’t afford to let such an accasion
go by without attention As it is
leap year in all likelihood tire
wives will be asking their husbands
to go to church I suppose you
men folks never heard of such a
thing before Better go to church
at least on the fifth Sunday in this
month you won’t have anothei
chance until 19-13 If you don’t
go to church only on fifth Sundays
in Feb it has been some time since
you attended The last time such
an event occurred was in 1880
Let’s all go
Thoughts For Ballard and Others
Brother Ballard leaves a very
little foundation for any of U3 to
stand o:i outside of bis small circle
The trouble is Brother Ballard is
a Jewish ( liristian He needs to
study IVters vision of the sheet
let down from heaven Acts 10:9-
20 and then follow Peters move-
ments and statements in the 34 h
and 35th verses of the same char-
ter where be presents the gospel
to the Gentiles lie said “Of a
truth I preceive God is no respec-
tor of persons but in every nation
(suppose you read that church) he
thatfeareth him and worketh
righteousness is accepted with
him” Then there is an even
chance for us “who live godly in
Christ Jesus” if we don’t join
Brother Ballard But read on
down to the 43rd verse v here
Peter said “To him all of the
prophets witness that whosoever
Leheveth in h'm shall receive re-
mission of sins” This is peters
gospel message to one Gentile
world of which we are a fraction
Paul rather favors us when he
sajs Lo 14:17 The kingdom of
Gd is righteousness and peace1
and joy in the Holy Spirit Again '
in his lerter to Titus 3:5 he says j
lie saves U3 by the washing of re-'
generation and the renewing of
