It is testimony like the following
that has placed Doan’s Kidney Pills
so far above competitors When peo-
ple right here at home raise their
voice in praise there is no room for
doubt Read the public statement of
an Afton citizen: 1
C Conner retired farmer North
Main street Afton Okla says: “I
can certainly recommend Doan's Kid-
ney Pills which can be procured at
the Afton Drug Co as I believe they
will cure the most obstinate case of
kidney trouble Two years ago I had
weak kidneys and sharp twinges dart-
ed through my loins I suffered con-
stantly from a dull heavy ache in mi-
back and the kidney secretions were
profuse and too ’frequent in their pas-
sage" During the night-f was obliged
to get up several times Doan’s Kid-
ney Pills went directly to the seat of
the trouble ridding me of backache
and removing the trouble from the
kidney secretions”

IN MEMORIAM 1 1
DIED July 16th 1913 Mrs Fannie
MStagner aged 36 years wife of Dr
GW Stagner of Afton Ottawa coun
ty Oklanoma '
WHEREAS It has pleased the
Almighty God Father ft all in His
infinite wisdom and unending love to
call Mrs Fannie M Stagner from this
path of life that lead through the
vale of uncertainty ending at last at
the tomb to a life in the great be-
yond and to take her from the home
of our esteemed brother Dr G W
Stagner and his darling children and
to leave vacant in the home and
hearts of this family the place which
could1 only be filled by ifother and
to ajjflict them with this great be-
reavmentV Therefore be it ”
RESOLVED by Afton Lodge No
25 of the Independent Order of Odd
Fellows of Afton Ottawa county Ok-
lahoma In regular session assembled
that we extepd to our brother Dr G
W Stagner and his little children and
to the immediate friends and relatives
of the family our deepest sympathy
and condolence in this tifelr hour of
sorrow and may they find relief in
the knowledge that she the faithful
wife) loving mother and admirable
friend) has not gone forever but has
only) journeyed through the mystic
shadpws of the grave into the honfe
of our blessed savior and there on
the golden shore awaits your coming
Yes Dear Brother we know how
you Will miss her after these years of
sweet communion of heart with heart
and soul with soul and now that she
is gone the trials of life will seem
doubly hard to bear while the Joys
will seem alloyed
And Dear Children scarcely had
your baby lips learned to lisp the en-
caanting word “Mamma” when silent-
ly tbe Aqgel of Death paid his mys-
terious visit into your lives and with
his mhgle wand closed tbe gentle
eyes stilted the lovtytg heart of
Mother and there sorrow gained his
first admittance into your hearts leav-
ing the pain that years will not ease
And yet a little white with you too
the silver chords will be loosed and
you must enter tho “pale shade
where each shall take his stand in the
silent halls of Death” For whether
In the early morn of life when every
breeze Is laden with the blessings of
living when the heart Is singing with
childish ecstasy when each dimpled
cheek is rosy with the blush of youth
or whether In the evening tide when
Life’s sun is setting behind the dis-
tant hills of tbe unknown and shilling
winds of the aged winter’s breath
sweep around you when the heart has
grown weary with the toilsome Jour-
ney and shoulders qre stooped with
the burdens of life the unwelcome
guest will come at the appointed hour
and claim his reward for
“There Is a reaper whose name
is Death
And with his sickle keen
He reaps the bearded grain at a
breath
And the flowers that grow be-
i tween” i -
Bye' and bye when the Angel of
Life shall sound the call and open the
casket and let your spirits free you
will know the ending of the great
