J D Barber ao old pioneer of
Alfalfa county passed away at his
home at Anthony Kansas yester-
day morning having suffered a
stroke of paralysis Sunday a weak
ago from which he never recovered
Mr Barber made the run into the
Strip and secured the place now
occupied by Will Bullard where he
lived and proved up A few years
ago he moved to Anthony and re-
tired from active life
The funeral will be held tomorrow
and Scott Hockenberry and family
Jess Robbins and wife H A Deck
and family and Mrs Nannie Red-
fern and son relatives of the de-
ceased will attend the funeral from
here
