BE A BOOSTER AND OPTIMIST ?
i m '
If every man in tbis town would
turn booster for the -other fellow
for one mouth wo would forget
that any of us ilid not vome up to
the standard of ' manhood Bnt if
j
we follow the inclination of fault- -j
( 1
finding until it becomes -a habit — '
we will get to be a big association
of pessimists Every man has his
iaultjust the same as every rose
has its tborn But every man has
his good trait also so let us learn
to look for the good and speak well '
of our fellow man ‘
You cannot build up a wide-a
wake town unless the people are
willing to boost for one another as
well as for themselves It is quite
natural for us to boost ourselves
but in so doing we should not for-
get self-respect but we must not
over look the fact that it is our
duty to acknowledge the good that
exists in others
Let bs than hang together — For
as we are loyal to others so will
they be loyal to us — The Kid
‘IF YOU’LL GO I’LL GO
a A
Say that to sotpe friend wheu
you leave him Saturday night Of
course you will mean that you will
go to church Sunday if he will go
too That’s a fine way to start off
If you are undecided as to which
church to attend select the one
your mother used to go to You
can’t go far wrong Any fellow's
mother’s religion ought to be good
enough for him So next Sunday
give up the lazy hour in bed Have
your best clothes ready Put ’em
on and start out with your head up
and your shoulders back Yrou’re
doing one of the Lest things you
ever did in your life and if you
keep it up you will never be sorry
And you’ll be surprised to see how
good it feels to be in church And
above all things if there is con-
gregational singing SINU- Don’t
merely hold the book and bluff at
singing Fill up your lungs and
let out the music You’ll know it
all right You may haye forgotteu
the words but the tune never!
Why your mother used to sing it! '
She will be a happy woman when
she knows that her boy was at
church — Exchange
