NKW GAS WELLS AT MUSKOGEE
Two Welle Flowing 10000000 Cubie
Feet Per Day Brought In -
Muskogee Okla — Within the last
few days two big gas wells each
flowing 10000000 cnblo feet of gaa a
day have been brought In nothin
three miles of Muskogee The gas
from these two wells added to other
wells that had been brought in before
establishes a supply of natural gaa
far In excess of tbe needs of the city"
This gas is being turned Into the
pipes -of the Caney River Gas com-
pany which has been supplying Mus-
kogee and other large cities of the
state with gm piped from the Ra-
mona field in the Cherokee nation
There la- plenty of evidence of the
‘efforts of one or two gas companies
to get control of all the gas produo-
tion In the state Every time a big
well of this kind Is brought In Its
production is immediately purchased
8 mall wells on losses owned by small
operators are Ignored as they could
not be of commercial Importance
standing alone Tbe principal diffi-
culty the gas companies have Is In
keeping up with the gas production
brought In In wild-cat fields In many
cases 'however they simply make
deals with the operating oU compan-
ies to buy all their gaa production
wherever found This can usually be
done for UtUe money as few of the
oil companies care to handle the gas
and a gas weU to them is of little
more consequence than a dry hole
