cotton raisers have any concep-

one attempted to break into the
house Mrs Gilmore warned the
would-be iotruder He still per-
sisted in trying to break in and
their little son a boy of 12 years
seized an ax and attacked the man
who was severely injured

undersigned Go vrfcor of the State of Okla-
homa duly refilled petitions signed by more
than twentr-flvb percentum of the qualified
electors of the County of Johnston State of
Oklahoma such her centum having been de-
termined bjr the Total vote In said County- of
Johnston for the head of the State ticket in
the next preceding general eleotion said peti-
tions being addressed to the Governor of said
State of Oklahoma and praying that a proo— ‘
tarnation issue calling an election under the
provisions of Section six of Article seventeen
of the Constitution of Oklahoma to be held in
said County of Johnston for the purpose of
submitting to the qualified electors of said
County the question of changing removing
or relocating the County Seat of said County’

the authority vested in me by the laws of said
State of Oklahoma do hereby call an eleotion
to be held In said County of Johnston for the
purpose of submitting to tbe quulltted electors
of said County tbe question of changing re-
moving or relocating the County Scat of said
County said election to be held on the llth
day of June A D 1908 and to he held under
the provisions of the election lawsof the State
of Oklahoma that notice of such election to
be given by publication of this proclamation
in newspaper published at Ravia Tishomingo
Mtlburn Mill Creek Wapanucka and Manos-
ville If any such newspaper shall fall or re-
fuse to publish the same then by posting in
such town or place for the period of at least
six consecutive weeks next preceding the
date of such election as herein ordered
Tbe County Officials of said County are here-
by ordered to prepare for the holding of such
election under the general laws of the State
of Oklahoma governing general elections
