Dorney Will Move.
It just has been announced,
that H. p. Dorney will occupy
the rear room of «he Farmers
' National Bank, which office he
formerly occupied and will con-
duct his farm loan business in
the future at that place. He will
also become a part of the office
force of the bank.
The Farmers National Bank is
j certainly to be congratulated up-
' on securing the services of Mr.
Dorney, a man who is capable of
rendering any service to the pub
| lie, which may be required of a
i bank, to the entire satisfaction
■ of everybody with whoip he may
come in touch. This acquisition
by the bank is in keeping with
the determination of the officers
and directors, whose highest am-
: bition is to make the Farmers Na-
tional Bank one of the Institution
in the country.

$1.88 Wheat
Oklahoma City grain exporters
declared yesterday that under the
prices fixed recently by the gov-
ernment they cannot pay the
growers more than *1.88 a bushel
for No. 2 hard wheat, the stand-
ard grade shipment from this sec
tion of the state
This statement was made in re
8ponse to an interveiw with edit-
or Carl Williams of The Farmer-
Stockman, published recently-
Mr. Williams had asserted that
with the basic prices fixed by the
government $1.95 a bushel would
be the average price Oklahoma
farmers might expect.
In an extended statement the
grain handlers show the cost of
handling the grain from the time
they recieve it until it reaches
Kansas City, based upon the Ok-
lahoma City freight rates.
They figure this expense on a
bushel of wheat: freight to Kan-
sas City, 12 cents; dockage, 2 cts
storage, 1 cent; shortage, 2.4 cts.
interest, 1.4 cents; government
commission, 2.2 cen:s: use of ele-
vator 1 cent; supervision, inspec-
ting and weighing, 1 cent.
The total expense figures 24
cents. This, the grain men as-
sert, doesn't take into account
the steep loss often caused by
misgrading.
T.ie government is allowing
$2. 12 for No. 2 hard at Kansas
City, leaving after the 24 cents is
deducted, $1.88 for the grower,
ascording the grain men.
The statement- of the exporters
is signed by officials of the Maney
Export company, Choctaw Grain
company and R. H. Dreman
Graip company.

We publish a statement from

A Correction.
Truly I regret the publication
of a false report in The Herald-

sickness and death. The article
in question stated that we had no
physician during her illness, but
that is untrue, as we had the ser-
vices of Dr. Neal twice during
her illness which lasted .six and
a half days. It also stated that
