Do vou know that when vou buy
stationary of us that the money stays
at home and remains in circulation in
this immediate vicinity.
Is your hat in the ring for some
county or state office? If so vou should
announce in The Republican a s is
reaches the voters of this precinct.
In various sections of the United
States there has been series of floods
and an over abundance of rain. Beaver
county at present could stand a email
amount of the surplus thut the different
sections have been afflicted with.
We see by one of our exchanges that
a preacher was robbed of several hun-
dred dollars worth of jewelery a few
days agh. Ministers should hereafter
invest their money in something that
couldn't be gotten away from them so
easy.
Why some people persist in standing
the editor of a newspaper off on their
subscription we have never boen able
to figure out. Do yoti know that it
costs money to run a newspaper the
the same as it does any other business
enterprise. If you don't think so just
buy a little experience along these lines
and you will be convinced that it takes
a whole lbt of "dousrh" to keep its
head above the shoally rocks of the
ever onrushing tide of the times.

Have You Thought the Rail-
road Proposition over.
Can we as an intelligent class of
citizens afford to let an opportunity
for the betterment of ourselves and
our posterity let an opportunity o f
securing a railroad slip through our
fingers just because we think that it
will be tha spending of a few dollars.
We as an American people are ever
on the alert for a chance to grasp an I
opportunity of making a dollar and
what better chance have we of accom-
plishing this all important chance than
the signing of the railroad contract, if
it doesn't build we have spent norte of
our already hard eained money and if
does we can more than double our pres-
ent worth. Is there a fairer proposi
tion; "No Railroad No Money."
Can you as a landholder of this
vicinity afford to turn down the rail-
road proposition that is offered you?
Remember you only have until tho 20th
of April to sign the contract.
Without the combined efforts of the
business men and the reading public of
a vicinity a newspaper cannot live long.
Are you doing your part in supporting
an enterprise that is continally boost-
ing you and your country on to success.
We do not take work as an object of
charity but as straight business propos-
ition only. We
that we buy and
services.
