Another Manufacturing Plant
Mooreland has another chance of
securing a cheese manufacturing
establishment. The proposition is
on the same deal as was worked on
last fall, the citizens of this city to
furnish the building. We have a
letter at this office from the inter-
ested party, and we would be
pleased to have the view of other
citizens before answering same.
That Mooreland Flour
The Mooreland Milling Co., is
again grinding out some more of
that excellent Princess flour. The
flour is of the very best quality
and has made a big demand
for itself. Everybody n the country
is useing it and the company i*
shipping lots of it out.
The Mooreland Milling Co's.
guarantee is iron-clad—if the flour
isn't sati^sactory, saS' so, and you
gel your money back.

Signs of Prohibition
On Monday of this week Sheriff
Bouquot captured and confiscated
two barrels ol Val Blalz beer. The
liquor was in the hands of a local
drayman in.transit from the depot
to the residence of.C. R. Cutter.
It was.from the Val Blatz Brewing
Company shipped at Kansas City,
Mo.
The properly was taken to the
court house and is being held by
the sheriff. The case was reported
immediately to County Atjlorney
Willett.—Dispatch.
I. O. O. F. Hall
At last the I. 0. 0. F. ball prop-
osition has materialized and work
on the erection of a fine steel imi-
tation stone building, 30x80 feet,
two storys high, steel ceiled, will
commence as soon as some primary
arrangements are completed.
The hall will be built 011 theOdd
Fellow's lots on Main sireet, in the
heart of the city, and will be fin-
ished in modern style throughout.
The upper floor will be used for
lodge purposes and the lower floor
will probably be fitted up for an
opera house.
This is a good move On the part
of this lodge, one that all our cit-
izens are glad to see them make.
A public purpose hall has been
needed in this city vfor a long time
and will be a good investment for
the lodge.. Then too,a lodge room
fitted up for that special purpose,
is needed wherever there is a lodge
organization, and for the Odd
Fellows and other lodges of this
city, this hall will be the filling of
a "long felt want."
Fire Protection
It would be a money saver, be-
sides bestowing the satisfied feeling
of protection, for every property
owner in town to errect some sort
of of a fire protection. . An elevated
tank holding several barrels and a
good windmill and pump would be
the only necessary expense. With
water so handy as we have, there
is 110 excuse for not having good
fire protection. Even the building
of a water system 011 a small scale,
belonging to the public, would be
a good move.
