which caused considerable delay.
Whether or not oil has been struck
in the Iow well south of town is tht
cause of much apeculation. No infor-
mation Is being giveji out concerning
the well and no one is allowed 0:1 the
promises. It is U-arnetl from reliable
uonmea that the drill is now on top of n
eand but whether or not the ran.l will
prove productive remains to be seen.
It would ajmear that tank cats arc
becoming more plentiful or that there
ia a better demand for the Lrownwood
oil aa there arc now seven empty tank
cars 00 the Frisco sidetrack that are
being loaded. The Pippin Oil Company
hits three at its loading rack the Frisco
has two and A. H. ttichardson has two.
K. C. Ray is in Krownwood. Mr. Itay
sayg that the derrick for the test well
on the Matlock place east of the Bayou
is almost completed and that the casing
for the well and the string of tools have
ton RhlDned. All this material should
be on the ground soon and actual drill
log will begin in the near future. A
shallow test Is being put down on the
Dougherty place and it Is understood
that a tust will be mad on the Hunt
tract.
