7UlS Year Holland S A4agazinc\s just as large and much more interesting than
ver before and the publisher* are entering all subscriptions TWO FULL YEARS for
the same price you formerly would have paid for a one vear subscription. The short
stories and special articles are clean, snappy and timely. The departments for the house-
keeper are nuny and complete; the fashion pages show the late styles, and the children
have a corner of their own. Holland s is truly a Southwestern Home Mag.izine of sun-
shine and good cheer which, in ten years time, h ts become indispensable "to more than
hree quarters of a million \ sople in the Southwest.

THE LAYMAN'S DUTY
There never was a time when
preachers and politicians formed an
unholy alliance that civilization did
not shriek out and Christianity cry
aloud. Since the beginninc of gov-
ernment, politicians have sought to
decoy the ministry into the meshes ot
politics and make them carry banners
in political processions. They have
taken the ministry to the mountain-
top ot power and offered to make them
monarch of all they surveyed, and
while most of them have said, "Get
thee behind me Satan," a few have
fallen with a crash that has shakes
•very pulpit In Christendom.
