SITUATION NEEDS ATTENTION
The Gteel Tank a Formidable Ally of
the Oil Man.
ARDWORTH COMPANY SOLD
Within the pat month or six weeks
the production at llealdlon has been
increased by 1(1 eon barrels and a
conservative estimate of the daily
production at this time places it at
(iO.odO barrels. The pipe line people
liave practically all their field stor-
age full and they are now wrestling
with the problem of caring for the
Healdton crude that is being offered
them. The Koxana company this
week disconnects from its storage
tanks and is making runs of some-
thing like 0000 barrels to the Mag-
nolia line. There has been a ten-
dency in the upper fields to get away
from the premiums that have been
paid for oil and the oil market at
Healdton is not as brisk now as it
was a few weeks back. The condi
tions that exist today and which are
brought about by the producers in
the field is having a tendency to
lower the price of Healdton crude.
The Humble Oil company reports
from Houston that the Houston pa-
pers last Sunday morning carried a
news item that Healdton crude had
been cut 10c on the barrel. While
no reduction has been made yet those
producers who are well acquainted-
with the situation as it exists at
Healdton will not be surprised if a
reduction is made. The steel tank Is
a formidable ally of the oil producer
and producers in the Healdton field
who feel the present price is not in
keeping with the value of the oil as
compared with what is being paid for
Cashing crude owe it to themselves
to look well to the oil runs and not
allow themselves to burden the pipe
lines with so much oil that price r
duct ion will result.

Clear Profit of Three-Quarters of a
Million Realized by Operators.
Former Governor C. X. Haskell
closed a deal here yesterday for the
purchase of the Ardworth company.
Associated with Mr. Haskell-in the
purchase is AV. I. Connelly of Tulsa

purchased by Mr. Haskell a few-
weeks ago. Mr. Connelly is an old
Ohio and Indiana producer and he
and the former governor have boon

proposition several weeks.
The property sold consists of 120
acres located in the northwest quar
ter of section 10-4-3. It has 21 wells
and a settled production of a little

per barrel was about $47".

Here the evangelist told a story
of a father and mother who had a
sick son declared by the doctors to
be in a (lying condition. Tliey se-
cluded themselves 5n prayer and
prayed that their son be cured be-
cause it was their will and not

"Some people ask if God's will

we could get lots of the prevailing
ideas of prayer out of ojr heads
altogether. Why God kno-? in so
well that if we can come and g t
all we want we would take all we
could hold and then run away with It
without thinking from where it comes.
The use of prayer is that we may-
get close to God. Prayer is to teach
us communion with Mm.
"When we are 'unfit to use the goo 1
things of God He withholds them
from us just as the mother will
not let her child have the scissor.?.
In our ignorance we often beg things
that will harm us but God In His
wisdom withholds them. I say that
prayer is a means by which we be-
come better acquainted with God
therefore we should pray to Him.
rather than to men. A great many
prayers are delivered to audiences
instead of to Almighty God. When
the heart Is prepared for prayer the
call is made to the Father and it
goes to the heart of God as natural1'
as a duck goes to a pond of water
thirty minutes after he is hatched. I
believe every sincere prayer Is an-
swered. God never refuses anything
that is respectfully asked. He an-
swers every prayer even if He an-
swers 'no.' and sometimes He says
'come sgain.'

Prohibit Importation of Plumage.
London April 19 Prohibition or the
Importation of the plumage and skins
of wild birds was urged upon the gov-
ernment as better than taxatitin in a
resolution passed by the Royal Society
for the Protection- of Jlirds. The so-
ciety asked the government to prohibit
entirely the Importation of wild birds'
plumage ostrich feathers and elder-
down only excepted- os a "useless and
undesirable Import and a wholly inde-
fensible form of extravagance."
