Thankful
In the summing up, yesterday—
Thanksgiving day—The Daily Pointer
found it had many things to be
thankful for, and was thankful.
Above all. The Pointer Is thankful,
because it believes by a course of
square dealing, of telling the truth
without fear or favor, and always
striking a blow for the best interests
of Oklahoma City, it has won a justly
deserved position in the eyes of the
people as a newspaper of recognized
■worth.
Next to that, The Pointer is thank-
ful because of the patronage accorded
it by Oklahoma City people.
One year ago. The Pointer carried
n 'few" want ads. The Oklahoman
had many.
Today—this morning—the Okla-
homan contained seventy-two inches
of want ads. Yesterday afternoon's
Pointer contained seventy-two inches
of want ads also. Isn't that what
might be termed a "deadly parallel?"
Doesn't that prove that 'a free cir-
culation newspaper" means some-
thing?
As said in the beginning. The
Pointer has many things to be
thankful for—we will not attempt to
enumerate them all For the past
it Is satisfied—the future will take
care of Itself.

TO THE MINISTERS, THE CHRIS-
TIAN AND MORAL PEOPLE OF
OKLAHOMA CITY:
Would you abolish absolutely and
forever theft and embezzlement, graft-
ing, burglary, hold-ups, train robber-
ies, gambling arul all houses of ill-
fame?
Would you abolish poverty with
all its suffering, public and private
begging, child labor, and the labor
of the weak and sick and aged?
Would you help to do it, if you
knew how it could be done?
Nobody who knows what Socialism
is, has ever denied, or even dares to
deny, that it would accomplish all
this.
Now, are you sincere, or only hypo-
crites?
