The steel range peddlers who have
been selling stoves in other parts of
the territory, made their appearance here
this week. We would advise all our
farmer readers to investigate stoves and
prices before having anything to do with
these fellows. You will tind that you
can buy just as good a stove from local
dealers for twenty dollars less than the
peddlers ask, and you will not be re-
quired by the home merchant to give a
cut-throat note that in many such in-
stances lias taken the farmer's home.
The stove these peddlers ury selling is a

Oklahoma Buptists Vote Unani-
mously to Harmonize.
The liaptist representatives who were
in council at Oklahoma City, after delib
eration, came to a happy conclusion by
unanimous agreement upon a course of
action looking to the consolidation of
the tw o existing conventions at the au-
tumn meeting next October. The con-
stitution of the Oklahoma Baptist state
convention is to be modified in such a
way that tho Oklahoma Baptist conveu
tion may be merged in that body.
A board of fourteen members, au equal
number fiom each body, will be chosen
to have charge of tlie distribution of mis-
slou luouey and mission work.
Tho discussions were moat fraternal
and not a vote was cast against the plan
dually agreed upon but every member
of each of the four organizations voted
heartily for its adoption.
