Uro. W. H. Nichols, when the request
for the same was made by Bro. Horner,
as we believe that it would have been
better for all parties concerned, lint
in as much as llro. Nichols'time is out
and he has ceased to be the pastor of
Edmond church and as we believe it
to be an unfortunate matter that, lie
was ever called to the pasto: :il care of
this church, therefore we would advise
that the matter in regard to his pasto
ral call and work bo dropped, and in-
d, that all the past be buriwl by
both parties and that from henceforth
they will strive to live in peace and
harmony and to the honor and glory
of God.
Further, as we do not deem it best,
in any case for two ministers to be oc-
cupying regularly the same pulpit, we
would advise Bro. Horner not to insist
upon occupying tho Baptist house in
Edmond as a regular appointment for
the present.
Further, we would advise the church
not to invite Bro. Nichols to come to
Edmond to preach or take any part in
church matters. Also that Bro. Horner
withdraw his objection to granting sis
ter Boemo a letter of dismission when
she has apoligized for her harsh lan-
guage to him, and further believing
that both parties have done wrong in
that they have allowed themselves to
become angry and say too much, we
would therefore advise that they cease
talking, tattling, backbiting and evil
surmising about each other and treat
each other as brethren and sisters in
Christ.
And further wo would advise Bro.
Horner to lue all the influence he can
to help the church by his presence in
all their meetings, etc., not to conflict
with his ministerial work, and lastly,
that the members of the church treat
him with the courtetfy due a minister
1' the gospel.
This is our advice which we give
conscientiously and lovingly and we
pray God to so fill you with his Spirit
that you may com" out, of these
troubles as gold purified by fire.

Castle Hall was handsomely decora-
ted, showing that the boys have an
eye for the beautiful.
Charles .1. Bowman acted as master
of ceremonies, Klein's orchestra fur-
nished the music, Rev. Thos. N. Horn-
er offered prayer, John L. Mitch deliv-
ered the address of welcome, John L.
but added another to his numerous
laurels. Mrs. C. J. Bowman and Miss
Blanche Thatcher sang a duett in good
style, Mr. J. O. Allen sang a solo that
was well received, E. E. Blake, of El
lteno, delivered an able address. Miss
Fannie Leonard sang a solo, it must
be accorded the credit of being the
gem of the evening.
The principle attraction was the
long table running through the centre
of the hall. It was loaded down with
everything that the inner man could
desire, it took but the twinkling of an
eye for every seat to be occupied.
The Knights were everywhere, seeing
to the comfort of their guests.
After the banquet was over, those
who cared to dance went to Central
Hall to trip the light fantastic 'till the
wee small hours of the morning.
All are loud in their praise of tl.e
manner in which tho boys conducted
the affair. The verdict is unanimous
that the lodge may grow, prosper, and
extend its field ot usefulness.
