have been taken into custody by the
sheriff 46 prisoners, in addition" to 5
lunacy patients, 1 county charge and
30 federal and city prisoners, making
a total of 119 prisoners handled al-
together for the month.
The charge against the county pris- j
oners ranged from vagrancy to mur-
der and rape, there being six held for
murder. The federal prisopcrs
muruer. i ne lederal prisopcrs had
to do chiefly with violations of the
liquor laws, and the* city prisoners
were held because the city jail was
out of repair.
During the month prisoners wore
disposed of as follows: To the state
penitentiary, McAlester, 4; Granite,
4; negro reform school, McAlester l'
1; girls industrial school, Oklahoma
City, 1; boys, reform school, Paul's
> alley, 1; delinquents paroled, l; hos-
pital for insane, Vinita, 6; released
on bond, 25; discharged, to. Citv
prisoners discharged, IS. Federal
prisoners transferred to Muskogee. 1-
released on bond, 11. Total, 79 le^v-
