Tahlequah, Okla , Nov. 20 1910
To the Editor Daily Arrow:
Dear Sir:—Every citizen of Tahl
qnah stands ready to aid Muskogee n
tier effort to secure the capital. Tahl
quah has some influence, and what sli
has ought to be thrown to Muskoge
fully, freely aud with hearty good wil
I think it a good time to offer Musk
^ee our assistance in the fight, an
when called upon we should stain
right up by the side of our "big sister
In the shape the capital question i
now, it might be possible that a dead
lock would be the result. It migh
then be entirely satisfactory to all th'
other towns to compromise on Tahb
quah as the capital. Why not? Tahl>
ijnah would lie as beneficial to Muski
gee as Putnam City would be to Oitla
homa City. And Tahlequah is a mud
oetter place for it than Putnam Cit
\Vhat do you think of it, Muskoge
\ bat do VOL' think of Tahlequah?

Republicans Plan
To Filibuster?
Oklahoma City, Nov. 26.—A caucus
in which the republican members ot
the new legislature are expected to par
ticipate has been called by Republican
■State Chairman James Llarris, to be
held in Guthrie this afternoon.
It is openly charged by democrats in
Oklahoma t ity that it is a move on the
part of Chairman Harris to inaugurate
a filibuster that will result in the repub
lican solons refusing to attend the legis
lative session which convenes in Okla
homa City on Monday.
There are 27 republican members in
the lower house and 13 in the senate.

That Turkey.
Through the generosity of some great
admirer, most likely a beneficary (f
the robber tariff who with the president
thinks the late upward revision pro-
duced the best tariff law ever pissed,
President Taft, for his Thanksgiving
dinner sat down to measure girths with
forty pound turkey. With the present
high cost of living many, many people
used, as a substitute, a barn yard
rooster. Which is thought by a major-
ity of folks to be equal, if not superior
to the great American bird, however
custom, if not taste would maks the
turkey preferable were it not for the
need of retrenchment in the expense of
living.
