Among the Refiners
The refiners tn the Mid-Continent
field are about to have a meeting
which will be in the nature of a patri-
otic movement to aid the government
in the present crisis. They will do
everything possible to bring- about a
continued era of prosperity and at the
snme time do all that Is possible to
supply whatever Is needed by the
government for war puriHises. .Coclt
one proposes to do his bit and it looks
like a mighty good thing tn do to-
wit: to bring about concerted action
on the part of refiners In this vicinity.
It Is pointed out that the present
price of refined products maintained
by the Ptandurd 1n what Is known as
"Indian Territory" Is murh too low
and should be raised along with tne
price of crude.

Thrills.
.What produces the thrills of life?
Seeking after new thinsrs; enjoylns; life
and Its blessltiKs; the excitement that
is produced by the wonderful changes
wrought by science; the momentous
happenings snd the fricrantlc under-
takings of the' world and Its people.
When a man evolves a (treat Idea Into
a practical Invention. It thrills; when
an author writes a great story It
thrills: when Caruso's golden notes
find their response In the soul It
thrills; when a rich man gives of his
vast wealth for public good It thrills;
when the sunrise melts the night. It
thrills and when one looks on a bube
that has just come Into the world it
thrills.
Life Is full of thrills; They come
to us every fay. A thrill sets the
nervous system aglow and slves "st to
the circulation. It keeps one from
getting sluggish dissatisfied morose
and uncharitable. Hut one must fight
against the feeling that one Is growing
old. One must never nurse the obses-
sion that the years cut off one's ca-
pacity for enjoyment or usefulness.
Those who drift Into a rut because
their mirror reflects a few gray hairs
will find their later years creating In
trielr minds only lack of Interest and
appreciation the greatest thrill-killer
of them all.
The spirit of youth ia only made
lasting by training the mind to see all
things with the same exultant thrill
that Christopher Columbus must huve
experience! when he glimpsed Amer-
ica the day after his crew threatened
to place him In Irons for luring them
on a voyage that seemed to have only
death for a harbor. Kditorlal In the
People's Home Journal.

How to Reduce
Your Weight
A Simple Sate Reliable Way
Tf you are carrying around ten to
sixty pounds of unhealthy fat you are
unnecessarily weakening your vnas
organs nnd are bearing a burden
which destroys the beauty of your
figure.
Why continue to be a victim of su-
perfluous fat? If you want to reduce
your weiitht In a simple safe ana re-
liable way without starvation diet or
strenuous exercise here Is a test
wvrth trying. Spond some time dairy
In the open air take seven deep
breaths each morning and night ana
get from any good druggist a box of
oil of korein capsules; take one after
each meal and one before retiring at
night; also follow the other simple
directions that come with the bog.
Weigh yourself once a week so as
to know Just how fast you are losing
weight and don't leave off the treat-
ment or even skip a single dose until
yon are down to normal.
Oil of korein Is absolutely harm-
less. Is pleasant to take and helps 01-
Fesbion. Kven a few days' treatment
has been reported to show a notice-
able reduction In weight the step In-
comes lighter your work easier; a
more buoyant vivacious feeling takes
possession of your whole body and
mind.
If you are over-stout you should
give this treatment a trial. Tou are
very likely to be surprised and de-
lighted. Amaze your friends too.
