TO THE REPUBLICANS OF LINCOLN COUNTY.
THE Republican County Central Committee at its last meeting
decided to select the Republican candidates for the various county
offices at a Republican primary election to be held in Lincoln County
August 12th, 1902. The said County Central Committee appointed a
commission of three, composed of the undersigned and M. G. King to
perform certain duties in connection therewith.
You are hereby notified that a primary election will be held in Lincoln
County* Oklahoma Territory, on the 12th day of August, 1902, for the
selection of Republican cadidates for the various county offices.
That the member of the County Central Committee in each town and
township shall serve as inspector of such election in and for his precinct
unless he be disqualified or unable or for some other reason he is excused
from service, in either of which cases an inspector will be appointed for
for such precinct by the board of election commissioners.
There shall be two clerks of election for each precinct appointed by the
inspector, each of whom shall have the same qualifications as inspector.
The election shall be held in each township and town at the usual voting
place in such precinct, except that in South Creek township the polling
place shall be at the town of Prague.
The polls shall be opened at 8 o'clock a. m., and closed at 4 o'clock p. m.
said day.
Every person* a resident of the precinct in which he offers to vote, who is
a republican, believing in the principles of the Republican party, and who
intends to vote the Republican ticket at the next election and who will be
a qualified voter by Nov. 4th, 1902, will be eligible to vote at such primary.
The persons eligible to vote at such primary, in addition to voting for
candidates for county offices, shall elect committeemen for their respective
townships.
