November did you?
Annie Diggs says fusion is dead
in Kansas. Annie is the walking
boss of populism in the sun flower
state and knows what she is doing.
M. A. Low the Hoc. Island at-
torney says he would not trade sit-
uations with Senator linker, lie
prefers his job to the U. S. Sena-

lie is right, too.
On the day after
Roosevelt said at
Tammany ha- pledged its support
in the work of crushing' out vice in
New York. When the devil purges
his abode Tammany will destroy
vice. Doth of them derive their
sustenance from vice alone.
For Speaker of the next Oklaho-
ma legislature there can be no more
capable nor worthy member found
than Walter C. Stevens, of Hen-
nessey. Mr. Stevens is a ripe
scholar, a skilled lawyer and a
brainy man. With him in the
chair Oklahoma can look for fair
rulings and considerate action.
The Kiowa and Comanche open-
ing will not be made next spring
The corners are badly lost and the
appropriation was not large enough
to put force enough on to resurvey
and allot both. Action will be
taken early in the coming session
to hurry it up and there is organiz-
ing a great cattlemen's combination
to secure the repeal of the bill. A
big fight will be made and the peo-
ple should urge its early opening.
liob Neff tells how it. feels to be
licked. He writes to the democrat-

tells how he feels at this stage of
the game.
‘ In response to your request that
I furnish you with an article upon
the late, lamented congressional
campaign, will say that we met the

All this talk about reconstructing
the democratic party and revising
it principles is simply the vaporings
of disloyal min Is.
of all parties.”
election Gov.
I Oyster Hay:
It should he a matter of the
deepest gratitude to notice the wav
those Democrats vv ho are staunch
believers in sound money and civic
honesty and in the honor of the flag
have joined hands with their Repub-
lican brethren. They will share
with them the credit for the victo-
ry.”
National Committeeman Joseph
II. Manley, of Maine, about as
stalwart a Republican as his party
can boast, said in a talk to the Com-
mercial Travelers’ Sound-Money
League on Wednesday:
The Republ'can organization has
not won this fight. It has been
won by the people. Tilts is not a
partisan Republican victory. We
oould not have won this magnificent
battle but for the loyal Democrats
who have sustained us through tin*
contest.
Even Senator Hanna, who does
not ordinarily divide the credit for
Republican victories with anybody
but God, admitted that Tuesday’s
result happened “because the people
were overwhelmingly in favor of
sound money, law and order, and :i
continuation of the political con
dilions wl^tch mean prosperity to
the country.” And lie made a
special acknowledgment of the aid
afforded by “those yon call sound-
money democrats, but whom we
call American citizens.”
If the party to which has been
given a new lease of power in these
circumstances shall hear in mind
the obligations thus generously ac-
knowledged by its leaders, and shall
conduct the Government in a spirit
of broad-mindedness and true pat-
riotism, it will deserve the respect
and support of all good citizens.—
