The Band Concert and Pie Supper
The band concert and pie sup
per given by our band boys last
Thursday night at the high
school auditorium, was a decided
success, both financially and as
an entertainment. The proceeds ■— - ■

that Hitchcock has the finest

The auditorium was packed
Thursday night. Everyone knew
what to expect before they came
and they were not disappointed.

Verdict Of 15,000 Against Watonga
L*st Thursday night a jury
brought in a verdict of $5,000
damages for J. J. Morrison in
the case of J. J. Morrison, ad-
ministrator, vs Town of Watonga
in which case J. J. Morrison,
administrator of the J. O. War-
rington estate, sued the town of
Watonga for $50,000 for the
death of J. O. Warrington, who
was killed by coming in contract
with a live wire at Watonga in
July 1914.

Frank Drake drove to Geary last
Friday evening, returning the
same night with two new Cbev-
rolets—one for Drake’s and one
for Cornett and Shafer, which
they will use as a demonstrating

The eighth grade basket ball

team of this place played the
eighth grade team of Watonga
last Saturday afternoon at Hitch
cock. The game resulted in a
score of 34 for Hitchcock and 11
fur Watonga.
