Johnson, died last Friday night at
his home near the court house.
Mr. Martin had been quite sick of
pneumonia fever for a week.
He has been iu the employ of
Mr. Johnson for three months.
Prior to that time lie had carried

lodge. The Democrat is told that
the insurance policy was cancelled
when Mr. Martin engaged in the
saloon business.

Dr. Hudson's house took fire last
Monday morning. Mrs. Hudson s

bucket of water oil the flames, in-
stead of screaming, saved the

his interest in the firm to his broth-
er Joe, who will continue the busi-
ness.
Mr. Brown, the retiring member
of the firm, has gone to Texas where
he will engage in the slock busi-
ness. He has many friends here
whose best wishes follow him.

business man and will, no doubt,
