One of the most complete county
maps we have ever had the pleasure of
seeing, is now being delivered in Kay
county. The work comprises a Sec-
tional Map of Kay county, show ing
j the municipal and congressional t<> vn-
ships, with the towns, villages, post-
offices, school houses, churches, rail-
roads. wagon-roads, rivers, creeks. In-
dian allotments, etc., and the most
valuable part is that every land own-
er’s name appears on his quarter sec-
tion. Besides being an absolutely cor-
rect map, it was designed and drawn
by an artist, photo-lithographed and
printed in colors, and is handsome
enough to grace anyone’s parlor. The
designing and draw ing w ere done by
P. H. Albright & Co., while the work
of compiling w as attended to by L. E.

Tiie corporation will be completed
this week and it is expected that the

work with the opening of the fall
term.
The curriculum, besides a commer-

thorough preparatory course for the
higher grades of any college of recog-

The greatest emphasis will tie laid
from tho very start upon efficient
teachers and thorough work, and the
enterprise should receive the cordial
support of all our citizens interested
in higher Christian education.
The association is not confined to

nor indeed to church members, but
influence of the acadamy upon the
community is to tie distinctly in the

This is a great advantage for the farmer, for now he
will not have to sign an iron-clad mortgage or give a
coupon note, such as the agents of little Western Brok-

And do not Require a Second Mortgage or a Cash Com
mission. The Iowa Loan and Trust Co. is the only
Loan Company west of the Mississippi that did not sus-
pend during the great panic of 1893, and is the oldest
loan company doing business in the west. It does not
have the reputation of closing out farmers to get their
farms, as many farmers have learned to their sorrow,
who have been taken in by the oily palaver, of the
hired agents of the smooth Western Shark. We are
the oldest loan company in Newkirk, and have enjoyed
a fine trade when we were compelled to repivNi-iit
Brokers. But now that we are prepared to loan Dim-i,
we know we have advantages not enjoyed by ain oilier
agency in Newkirk, and our customers will be given Hie
benefit and the same honest treatment in the future as
in the past; and while we know we have made more
farm loans than any other Farm Loan Company in
Newkirk, we have not employed “Windy Croaker.-,” to
parade our customer’s name before the public to show
we “Killed a Bear.” On our part, bu-mess is confi-
dential, but if our customers speak to their neighbor,
(and most of them do), about our honest treatment of
them, we appreciate the same. And to those who are
not acquainted with us, we cordially invite you to call,
and if we have business with you, we know7 you will be
satisfied and will recommend us to your neighbors.
