Cripple Creek, Colorado, where he
will seek fickle fortune.
Rev. Father Meeter will preach
next Sunday night at St. Patricks
church. Every body invited.
Mrs. J. B. Cumming's and her lit
tie daughter are both recovering
from a severe attack of fever.
Mr. Vogeli of the Wichita store,
has returned from the east where
he purchased a large stock of
spring; goods.
Owing to a lack of space we are
compelled to omit mention of the
Co i.-nlation Club, but will do so in
our next issue.
Mr. and Mrs. W. S.Moore of St.
Joe. Mo. are visiting Mr. and Mrs-
J.T. Phelps and will remain here a
month. Mrs. Moore is a sister of
Mrs. Phelps.
Paul Lessly and Dr. Capshaw
claim the championship on duck
shooting. Last week they went
hunting in the Chickasaw Nation
and bagged eighteen ducks and
two geese, which is certainly a good
record.
Adjutant General Jamison of the
Oklahoma National Guard was in
the city last Friday and was the

the city, they made the state Dem-
ocrat a pleasant call.

Stella graded school closed last
Friday with a large attendance.
School was examined by A. L. Bald-
win with the territorial questions
from the territorial Superintendent.
The following pupils made the av-
erage grade as follows: Miss Aria
Mayes, 00 per cent.; Miss Bra bra
Mayes, 88; A. II. Heoyle, 89; Miss Ru-
by Gerwig, 7S; J. A. Dickinson, 100;
and the remainder of the school
made tin average of 70 per cent.
And will say 1 cannot return too
many thanks to my pupils for their
good behavior and close studying
while under my supervision, and
will say with all my experience in
the school room I never had better
obedient pupils in my life. I re-
commend highly the Stella school
as being one among the best schools
in the county,

ciation, met. in Norman, March the
I6th 1806, with some of the Sunday
school supt's and pastors of the
different churches in Norman, and
transacted business as follows.
Mr. J. C. Wails chosen chairman
of the meeting.
Decided that the next annual Co.
Sunday school convention, be held
in Norman, in the Cumberland
Presbyterian church, on the first
Friday and Saturday in May.
The supt. and one delegate from
each Sunday school in the Co. are
requested to attend the convention,
and bring written reports of their
schools.
Also the vice president of each
township in the Co., is expected to
be present at the convention, with
theft i eports.
The committee appointed to ar-

Bro. Sherwood was appointed
ce president of Norman, as the
former vice president Rev. Brown
has moved away from Norman.
