HELPING YOUR COUNTRY AND
YOURSELF
The big purpose of the War Loans is to in-
crease the supply of labor and materials available
for Winning the War.
•
The supply of labor and materials is increas-
ed by refraining from spending money—by saving
as we ordinarily say.
The supply is made available for winning
the war by subscribing to War Loans.
The easy, timely, constantly helpful wav to
do these two things is to habitually and frequent-
ly buy War Savings Stamps.

Mr. Northgrave arranged the
shelving in the Red Cross store
room last week, which is much
appreciated by the committee
and helpers.
The members of the Junior
Red Cross of the we9t side are
delighted with the returns from
the matinee which D. M. Kramer
showed Friday afternoon for
their Denefit.
The proceeds were $82.15, this
with their membership dues
amount to about $135 00 with
which to purchase supplies for
Junior Red Cross work.
The Junior Red Cross of the
east side are also very energetic
and ready to begin work.
The Juniors can use many
things in their worK which art-
discarded at home, such as old
pillow slips, bed sheets, towels,
flannels and outing garments
etc.
•
We Regard very highly Mr.
Kramer’s generosity in giving
the matinee for the benefit of
this worthy organization.
We appreciate the fact that
many of the ladies feel t heir fe-
sponsibility and are helping in
the work, but there is room for
more to do their bit
