The populist Territorial Central
Committee met in Oklahoma City

tion the part said party should take
the campaign of this year.
The following resolution was
adopted by the People's party cen-
tral committee of the territory at
said meeting.
Be it resolved by the people's party

lahoma territory in regular session
duly assembled, that
Whereas, the democratic territorial
central committee in session at Okla-
homa City on February 28, 1902 adopt-
ed the following resolution:
It is recommended by this com-
mittee that the democrats of each
ounty of the territory hold conven-
tions, or primaries, on the 17th of
A.pril, at which all qualified voters
ho supported the Hon. Robert Neff
for congress in 11)00 and are in full
accord with the principles of the
ational democratic platform adopted
at Kansas City in 1900 be allowed to
participate and select a full quota to
to the Enid convention; and,
Whereas, said resolution has this
2nd day of March, 1902, been present-
ed to this committee by a duly ap-

"No," answered the Oklahoman, "it
often turns and blows the other way."

Judge "Bob" Ray, democratic nom-

with l'om K. Richie chairman of the
Republican committee, of the same
place are in the city on court matters.
Judge Ray is making a hard fight to
have his name placed on the election
ticket, which the outgoing Mayor
Ross has refused to do. Judge Mc-
Atee issued a mandamus today against
the Mayor and City Clerk of Lawton
ordering them to comply with Judge
Ray's wishes. Under the plain out-
spoken law of the territory Judge
McAtee and judge Bob Ray are both
right in this matter. For the sake of
the most good for the democratic
party in Comanche county Mayor
Ross had better abandon his position.

Regardless of politics Chas. Borders
the retiring city councilman from the

Mr. Borders secured a much needed
improvement in Kenwood, an electric
light on the corner of 13th and Pine

ders is a candidate for re-election and
no doubt will be returned to the
council by a good round majority.
