The western Trail Magazine offers
prizes aggregating in value $300 in rail-
road transportations, for letters from resi-

there engage in farming, cattle raising,
dairying, fruit growing and similar pur-
suits.
To accomplish the purpose which it has
in iew, The Western Trail offers the fol-

They should tell how much money he had
when he arrived, what he did when he firsl
cnif, what measure of success has since
crowned his efforts and what he thinks of
that portion of the country in which he
loctated. Letters should not be less than
300 nor more than 1,500 words in length,
and will be used for the purpose of adver-

but also from merchants, school teachers,
clergymen; from everyone who has a story
to tell and who knows how to tell it. Poeti-

Trail in its efforts to colonize and upbuild
the Southwest.
