SAGE TEA DARKENS
HAIR TO ANY SHADE
Bristol, Pa.—From ten to forty per-
sons were killed or drowned when a
temporary scafolding extending
around the stern of a boat on the ways
at the Merchant Ship Yards at Har-
riman, near here, collapsed, while
nearly 150 persons were standing on
It to view the launching of the
freighter Waukau. Twenty-two in-
jured persons were taken to the Har-
riman hospital.
Thousands had assembled to see
the launching and witnesses of the
accident say the scaffolding seemed
to turn over, precipitating Its occu-
pants into twenty-five feet of water
The accident happened four minutes
before the launching was scheduled
to take place.
It will be impossible to check up
the list of victims for several days
as the crowd included spectators as
well as ship yard employes.
An instant after the scaffolding fell
the key piece of the Waukau, at which
the workmen had been sawing, parted
and the big hull slid down the ways.
The suction It is feared, drew some
of the victims down to the bottom of
the river.
Don’t stay Gray! Here’s an Old-
time Recipe that Anybody
can Apply.
The use of Sage and Sulphur for re-
storing faded, gray hair to Its natural
color dates back to grandmother’s
time. She used it to keep her hair
beautifully dark, glossy and attrac-
tive. Whenever her hair took on that
dull, faded or streaked appearance,
this simple mixture was applied with
wonderful effect.
But brewing at home Is mnssy and
out-of-date. Nowadays, hy asking nt
any drug store for a bottle of “Wyeth’s
Sage nnd Sulphur Compound,” yon
will get this famous old preparation,
Improved hy the addition of other In-
gredients, which can be depended up-
on to restore natural color and beauty
to the hair.
A well-known downtown druggist
says it darkens the hair so nnturnlly
nnd evenly that nohody can tell it has
been applied. You .simply dampen a
sponge or soft brush with It nnd draw
this through your hair, taking one
strand at a time. By morning the
gray hair disappears, nnd nfter nn-
[ other application or two. It becomes
beautifully dark nnd glossy.—Adv.

but three of its manufacturing plants,
was ordered by Federal Judge
Learned Hand. The decree, following
a dismissal by the supreme court a
few hours earlier of the corporation’s
appeal from a previous judgment dis-
solving the concern, was the result
of a compromise agreenjent between
the defendant and the government
which charged that tfrg company was
