always presents numerous difficulties

part of the people, particularly those of
foreign birth or extraction, that their
answers to the enumerators' questions
will cause increased taxation, legal en-
tanglements. or other consequences in-
jurious to their welfare. In order to
quiet stti h unfounded fears and at the
same time acquaint all persons with the
main questions included in the census
schedules this statement hits been pre-
pared.
It is. therefore, earnestly ho|>ed that
Clergymen, editors. School Teachers.
Employers, Agricultural Agents, and
other public spirited citizens who come
in contact with large numbers of peo-
ple will grasp every opportunity to
correct any erroneous opinions about
the census which they may hear.
It is no less earnestly honed that all
public-spirited citizens wilt aid ■; **

Enumeration Begins .Ian. 3. 1920
Tbe census is required every ten years*
by tin* Constitution of the United
States and by Act of Congress. The

To judge the window displays in
Ponca City during the trade day per-
iod of December 10-20, one of the most
expert window decorators in the state
has been invited to come to Ponca next
Pridny. He will make the awards and
the prizes will be issued forthwith, so
that all merchants who are winners
can display their awards on Saturday
the last day of the trade days and the
day when several thousand school chil-
dren of this and Osage counties have
been invited here to attend a Christmas

The entire window display proposi-

Bureau of Chemistry have been found
