Get Competent Men
It makes no differenc** to this
paper who the candidate* are
that are nominated this summer
by the Republicans except that
they be competent, honest men.
It takes that kind of a ticket to
win. and that is the only kind of
a ticket that should be nominat-
ed. It can be done. When the
voter goes to the booth to vote in
the primary, he should pass up-
on every candidate to be voted
foras follows: “Is he honest: is
he competent; can he run the
office?” Do not vote for any
candidate unless you think that
he is qualified to run the office
this thing of electing men to
office who are not conpetenti
should be relegated to past his- j
tory. The country will never
have good public service until
voters learn to give public places
to competent aspirants.
The above was copied from
Gov. Fergusons Watonga Repub-
lican and voices the seniment of
every republican in Blaine county
who stands for the success of
the party. Give us a ticket com-
posed of good honest, competent
men and it will be elected.
