Price—One Dollar per Year.
Moore, Saturday. Fib. 8,1896
Natural gas has been discover-
ed one mile east of Chocta'f Citj.
The house has pasaed the right
of-way bill for the St. Louis and
Oklahoma City railroad.
The land office is taking au
unusually large number of final
proofs just now. Three or four
are taken daily, and every day is
spoken for up to the fiirst of May.
The new through train service
on the Choctaw will not go into
effect tomorrow, as was anticipa-
ted. The company has purchased
new coaches sufficient for two
trains, but the car builders have
not been able to deliver thea.
The officials promise, however,
that trains will run under the new
time card by Sunday, February 9
